The first few weeks of June weather was the hottest in the last few years. Even the locals were saying this was very "unseasonably hot." I knew Florida would follow me. Oh well, I still love summer. Here are my goals for July...
// Keep up on my reading. This past month with most weeks of work being over 60hrs, it's been hard to keep up with my books. I'm doing a mini book club with one of my friends and I found myself in college mode, cramming in all my reading right before we talked on the phone. I don't want to do that again this month.
// Cook More. Part of my, consuming less plastic, lifestyle I'm trying to adopt, lends itself nicely to this. Cooking will not only cause me to purchase less plastic, but I know it's healthier for me too!
// Bring coffee with me. This may sound like a, duh! goal, but what I mean is make more coffee at home. I tend to spend a lot of money on coffee right before work, money I could be putting elsewhere, or saving for a "treat yo self" day off or vacation. I have the coffee grounds at home, I just need to use them.
// Speaking of vacation, I want to start planning for my vacations this year. The year is half over and I haven't taken a vacation yet, so sad!! On the flip side of that though, I have half a year left and all of my vacation days still to take! Where should I go? hmm
// Go Hiking! I have been saying for the past few months that I will make time "this month" to go to the mountains and go on a proper hike. Needless to say, I haven't yet, but I will in July!
// Use some of my copious amounts of nail polish! I really love having my nails painted, but they chip so quickly that I rarely have them done. Saying that you would think I wouldn't have a lot of nail polish, you would be wrong! I have way too much! I need to use some of it.
// Go to the Renaissance festival!! It's going to be on every one of these until I finally go! I also have to go this month or it's over. ahh
// Cook breakfast more often! I love the snooze button, but I also love food. I've been on a little bit of a role with either making an acai bowl or oatmeal, and it gives me so much more energy throughout the day.
// Flip all of my hangers backwards and see what clothes I actually wear. I've heard of this trick and I find it fascinating. I wonder how much of my closet I actually wear and how much I just look at?
/ Go outside!! I know I already have hiking on here, but I live in such a beautiful state I really want to just be outside more. Also with working so much it will help me mentally to breath fresh air!
What are your goals this month?
