10 Goals in 30 Days, what are your goals this month? - AVintageJoy

Anyone else super confused how it’s already October!! I was so ready for all of the fall goodness, and then it snowed three days into my Fall. Why you do that weather? It stopped though, thank God!

Also, giving myself some grace this month for posting this like halfway through the month. We’re all works in progress people! Ok, let’s do some planning shall we…

1// Y’ALL! GIRL WASH YOUR FACE IS ON SALE!

IF you haven’t read this book yet. You should! The exact day I was looking into purchasing it, one of my best friends texted me and was like “You need to read this!” It’s that good. It’s easy for us to get overwhelmed and it’s nice to see that you’re not alone! You’ll thank me later, click click.

2// FIGHT THE URGE TO SLEEP IN

I find it so discouraging when I wake up and it’s noon. Like where did my day go! Self care is so important, read about some tips on how to have a full week of Self Care here!, but Self Care is also listening to my body. I’m pretty much done sleeping by hour eight, so why am I laying around when I could be up and doing things!

3// START CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

I love the hunt for the perfect Christmas present, and the earlier you start the easier it is! I have some tips I’ve learned over the years coming soon, but the more I can start to find good items now the less stressed I will be when the Holidays come around.

4// BAKE

Fall is my FAVORITE time of year, I just love that it’s chilly, but I’m not freezing yet. There’s nothing like watching a good movie and baking on a chilly night. This month I want to bake some delicious muffins that I can take with me on the way to work in the mornings.

5// ONE HOUR A DAY FOR MY PASSION!

Even in a very busy day or week, there is absolutely time to find one hour a day to focus on my more longterm goals. I really want to get better at this! Over the past few months, I’ve really been focusing on what my long term goals are and what that looks like. Am I taking one step a day to move towards those goals? Yes!

6// TAKE MY VITAMINS

It’s that time of year again and it has already snowed twice here! Snow, please get out of my fall! I love you, but not yet. I also have been having problems with the heat at my place so thank God for my space heater! I really don’t want to get sick

7// CREATE A “QUOTE OF THE WEEK” EACH WEEK

I love speaking to myself more than I like listening to myself. By that I mean we tend to listen to our negative self talk, but when you actually have to say those words out loud you realize how horrible that sounds. A simple way that I like to get out of that habit is to write down a quote that I can read before I head out each day. Something that reminds me of the truth!

8// MASTER AT LEAST ONE BRAID FOR MY HAIR

There is something about braids that seem so fall to me. However, this is a weakness of mine. I am not good at doing my hair. I have mastered the hair straightener curl, which was probably my biggest hair win, but I’m the worst at braids. I really love Abby from TwistMePretty, I can only wish to correctly do one of those braids! This month I’m going to try!!

9// SELF CARE FALL STYLE

I firmly believe that if you don’t do self care mentally and physically you won’t be able to perform your best. It’s definitely easier said than done, but this month it’s time to switch things up a little with my self care. Moving more towards what my body needs in fall. Still focusing on fruits and vegetables, but also making sure my skin has the moisture it needs from drinking water and using lotions. Making sure I’m mentally prepared for the week through mediation and spending time in the Word. It’s time to switch from summer to fall self care!

10// CONNECT WITH FRIENDS

This one is so important! We are made to be in community, and when I’m so busy that I don’t “have the time” for community I feel it. I want to call friends, and go to the movies with friends. Take time to be around those who I truly appreciate, and make sure they know it!
