The Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival - AVintageJoy

I have been so excited for the last two months to go to the Colorado Renaissance Festival. I had to make it a priority this month because it's the last month that it will be here! However, I will also say, there were many people that told me not to go because they said it was for kids. Take this as my advice to you: If you want to go to something, go!! Because you'll regret it if you don't. If you decide, maybe not this year, that's fine, but unless you've gone and realized that you don't like it how do you know unless you go?!

I didn't take their advice, and I'm so glad that I didn't, because it was awesome! My favorite part about it was how elaborate everything was. People that were there for the day dressed up, the "town" was huge, and the people were super friendly. No one was putting on a pretense, they were just being themselves and I find that adorable. Ok, I may be thinking a little deep into the renaissance festival, but it was nice to see people all dressed up. There are really only certain times that you can do that. You can dress up during Halloween, if you are going to a convention, and a fair! Why not have some fun with it!

My "dressing up" was not extreme by any means, but it was so much fun to walk around and explore.

My biggest tip: Bring $20-$30 with you and have that be your money limit. I've found places like this are an easy way to have a $50 pewter mug happen and then you get home and realize that you just spent $50 on a mug!! Be careful!
